I hate EA

One of the things that irks me more then anything when it comes to gaming, is exclusive deals. The only people that gain from deals, is the two involved in the deal. Earlier today EA announced they are extending their exclusive deal with the NFL into 2013. This means we get to continue to see the exact same game released for another 5 years.
For those of you that are sports fans know this. Madden has been very stale since 2006 when they first got this deal in place. From 2002-2005 you had a lot of innovation in football games as Madden and 2k where rivaling each other. From maddens stand point online in 2003(2k had it on the dreamcast prior), the mini camp, presnap adjustments in 05(also in 2k not sure who had first), The hit stick, point your blocker. 06 brought the “truck stick”and qb vision.  As well as franchise mode getting more depth.
Since then, we got the high light stick, or a more logical truck stick for smaller backs and “weapons” a feature to try to make the elite actually the elite. Not to mention the 2008 version is just god awful in the jump to the “next gen.” To think i was actually thinking my ps3 would get to play a good licensed NFL game this year.
Oh well, 1 more reason to hate this miserable publisher.
