Heavy Rain News and BioShock 2 annouced

A game that Ryan got me to take notice of around a year or so ago has continued chugging along it’s production cycle. Thus far very little is known about this game. For those you wonder what ‘next gen’ games really can look like take a peed at these vids.
E3 06 trailer For this one, that was made in about 2 months time, they weren’t actually intending on going to E3, a sony exec say some of the footage prior to E3 and told them to finish it asap.
 The Face Just a short clip of a face, if they could get it a little less glossy you could convince people thats a real person and not pixels.
Now, moving along beyond they are trying to make more life like animations, movements, gestures, and essentially trying to add emotion into video games. The game itself is a mystery, however some news just trickled out of a dutch magazine. The game is supposed to play like Indigo prophecy from the sounds of it. So it’s not going to be a ’standard’ game. The story will revolve around normal people stuck in non-normal situations. Supposedly the overall story is going to be about a fathers love for his son, and will be told through 4 different peoples perspectives. That will make you question who really is right and wrong by keeping the things done throughout the 4 people in that giant morally gray area.
This is a game thats shapping up to be a very interesting game, I wouldn’t hope much in terms of it being a mainstream success, it’s liable to play to slow for the casuals. However it’s looking like it’s going to have a very purty game and a very interesting story. So if any more news trickles out i’ll be sure to share it.

then a blirb, BioShock 2 is scheduled to come out sometime in 09. Personally I could care less I don’t understand the obsession with the first one, but to those interested you have something to look forward to.
