Responsibility, smonsibility

So my confusion in finicial Aid has increased further as to now the randomness of my refund checks make that much less sense. I had been under the impression that I’d been getting part of my laptop deposit back throughout my time at Neumont, turns out that never happened. As a result they sent my a full sum of my deposit over the weekend.
Now ya, I should be a responsible adult and either pay back my loans or invest it or at least let it get interest in a bank account somewhere. But what would be the fun it that? There are a lot of things I’ve been wanting for quite some time. Be it a 360 to pick up some of the exlusives I’ve been missing out on, a Pool table which I’ve wanted since I was young, a gaming caliber PC to enjoy most anything developers can throw at us for the next few years, or a more praticle option of a bigger/nicer bed, a comfortable couch, and some varios furniture are all things I want to obtain over the coming months.
Now I could stick to my plan and wait and save like I orginally intended for most of these items and continue to juggle with are a couple of end tables important than a dresser? Is a pool table more important than a gaming PC? is a 360 more important than a new bed? Not to mention when does everything get put on hold to start saving for a deposit for car.
So I think I’ll be an irresponsible, but typical American and enjoy a little splurging. As it stand I’m leaning toward using the money for a nice pool table and my Vegas trip for a belated birthday gift to myself, all though from what I’ve been gathering on what I’m looking to spend on a table/accessories I’d have a little more then I’d be comfortable with gambling away, so depending on what that amount is I’ll look into maybe a 360 or some furniture for my room.
More details on Vegas later once i get the last remaining details ironed out…then you’ll prob see a blinkin IM on your screen seeing if you want to come with. It will be the weekend of August 8th, just seeing how long I’ll stay(mostly dependent on if I can get a day off work). So if your interested feel free to be proactive and send me a message if you have any questions. Besides who doesn’t want an excuse to go to Vegas?

A birthday trip sounds like a good use of the extra money… but I would definitely suggest putting as much as you can into your loan. But, maybe thats just me. I just really hate being in any sort of debt.
I know that would be the ’snart’ thing to do…but the way I figure either way I’m in debt until at least 25 and That’s when I’ve been planning/budgeting on being debt free. So either way they will get the same amount of money, this just lets me get some things I want earlier…but I’m not set on what to do yet.
Going to stop by a couple of stores on saturday and see who has a good salesman :p It’s between getting a good gaming desktop, a laptop that doesn’t burn my leg(which means I can sell my t60), or a pool table…Which I would love, but to get a table I’d be happy with I’d have to spend more then I’d really like to right now.
The only thing I do know is a trip to IKEA will be happening as I need some things so i can start get my room clean and organized.
You spend about 1/3 of your entire life sleeping. Get a comfy bed if you can, man. Preferably queen size too, so you can toss and turn around freely during your disturbed sleep.
Or for the ee-aww ee-aww too, eh? Eh?? *nudge nudge*
I’m pretty happy with my bed(it’s a nice pillow top twin size), and my room isn’t large enough for a queen
and i’d need a woman before i can ee-aww ee-aww anyway >_>
So wait, you got your deposit back AND you got to keep the t60?
Yup, had to pay the whole dollar seven for the laptop
Well…Pool table won.
I ended up getting a really good deal that I couldn’t pass up. I ended up getting a $2500 table for $1800 with a better frabic, nice set of balls, and a set of 4 cues(nothing amazing, but I’m going to get a nicer one for myself anyway).
I also picked up a dresser for my room and the rest is for vegas.
