Games should NOT look this good.

So you may or may not know, Heavy Rain is a game I’ve been keeping an eye on every since >Ryan informed me about it. All though Indigo Prophecy certainly isn’t my favorite game of all time, it’s companies next itteration just looks to amazing to pass up. Some new screens were posted today and well, it’s just plain pretty. Hopefully the gameplay is a little more interactive then Indigo was, but that’s yet to be known.

Nice.
I’ll have to keep an eye out for this as I had almost forgotten about it. Hopefully it will live up to what the developers seem to be aiming for.
Looks like a game that revolves around a ‘water on faces’ engine. I have no idea about the game itself… Just seems like they are trying to show off the fact that they can have water run down their faces! OMG Its like theyre REAL!
Ya, thus far the developers has just been showing off the graphics engine. I wouldn’t expect much in the terms of gameplay based off Ingido. However it looks gorgeous and I’ll expect a solid thought provoking storyline.
The faces look almost plastic. Unless the game’s meant to feel scary, it probably won’t feel right until it the graphics climb a bit further out of the “Uncanny Valley” (see for info).
It’s not supposed to be a Silent Hill or resident Evil by any means, but I do get the feeling it’s mean to be suspenseful.
Also on an unrelated note, this post has already become my most viewed article with 163 total page view(and my highest day of 148 views in 1 day when posted, with almost all direct traffic likely from my gamefaqs sig, so thanks to all the faqers who came for a visit)
Mark - if you watch the video (you should be able to find it on youtube pretty easily) I think you’ll notice it doesn’t look too bad. It’s not perfect by any means but I think it looks good enough that it doesn’t bug me. It’s definitely one the way out of valley.
