Needs an excuse to mess with AJAX/Javascript

So at work last week I had to use some javascript, which reminded me that my knowledge of javascript and by proxy, AJAX, sucks. So i’m trying to think of something that would be ‘neat’ to put on this site or my other one…i guess(currently just has my resume sitting on it), but I can’t really think of anything that would be worth the effort to do.
I have no desire to let you drag and drop some stuff around, i can’t think of anything that would need a hourly or any increment update, i’m not going to infest you with some popups…and well as you can tell I am starting to run out of ideas. So if you have come across any JS or AJAX on another site that you think is pretty neat, drop a link or leave a description.
If worse comes to worse I’ll just do some drop down menus or something…but ideally i’d like to do something a little more…indepth, i guess.
